Terang & Mortlake Health Service gratefully acknowledges the assistance and support provided by a large number of men and women who regularly volunteer their time to provide a range of services to our community in the following areas:

  • Community transport
  • Meals on Wheels
  • Mount View visitors
  • Mount View music and dance
  • Planned activity group
  • Community Kitchen
  • Easy walkers group leaders
  • Ladies auxiliary
  • Community advisory committee

Many of our programs rely on volunteers to give freely their time to support community members enabling them to remain in their own homes.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer with Terang & Mortlake Health Service you will need to:

  • Understand the rules and guidelines for volunteers and be prepared to comply with them
  • Be dependable and reliable
  • Be willing to undertake relevant training
  • Welcome and ask for supervision and support when needed
  • Avoid over-extending yourself
  • Be able to work successfully as a team member
  • Value and support other team members and have respect for others and
  • Maintain client, staff and organisational confidentiality in accordance with the Privacy Act whilst you are a volunteer and when you have left volunteering
