The Graduate Nurse Program

The duration of the program is 52 weeks and includes 3 rotations:

  • Five Months on the Acute Ward incorporating Urgent Care
  • Five Months in our Residential Aged Care facility
  • One Month with our District nursing team

Intake

Intakes are conducted each year in February or when AHPRA registration comes through.

The Graduate Nurse Program at Terang & Mortlake Health Service aims to support and nurture your transition to the nursing workforce enabling you to become a confident and competent registered nurse. We provide you with the opportunity to experience a wide variety of nursing care through your time at the Health Service.

Orientation is conducted over a two week period, during which you will spend time with your new colleagues as well as our Clinical Facilitator, who will work with you to put together a program that will best suit your identified training goals.

We offer all staff members ongoing support; this includes regular debriefing sessions along with opportunities to attend both internal and external education and training days which are deemed to be relevant to clinical practice at Terang & Mortlake Health Service.

We have two positions available in our 2022 Graduate Nurse Program.
